The roller coaster is my life; life is a fast, dizzying game; life is a parachute jump; it’s taking chances, falling over and getting up again; it’s mountaineering; it’s wanting to get to the very top of yourself and to feel angry and dissatisfied when you don’t manage it.It isn’t easy being far from my family and from the language in which I can express all my feelings and emotions, but, from now on, whenever I feel depressed, I will remember that funfair. If I had fallen asleep and suddenly woken up on a roller coaster, what would I feel?Well, I would feel trapped and sick, terrified of every bend, wanting to get off. However, if I believe that the track is my destiny and that God is in charge of the machine, then the nightmare becomes something thrilling. It becomes exactly what it is, a roller coaster, a safe, reliable toy, which will eventually stop, but, while the journey lasts, I must look at the surrounding landscape and whoop with excitement.”— Eleven Minutes, Paolo Coelho

01 Jan 2011, At home♫♫♪♫ It’s a perfect day to throw back your head and kiss it all goodbye…♫♫♪♫
*** I stopped seeing people, places and things in 3x5 frames sometime November last year. Been trying to regain that passion for photography by going back to Polaroid/Instax and film. And as this project will probably put a dent on my budget, donations in the form of Fuji Instax mini films are welcome. :-)

Cambodian weed

michellardi:

Erwin! Exactly the person we need.

Haha, nagplano kami ng IT the other night, crazy crazy. Walang tulugan sa trip, or if ever, sa bus/train lang kami matutulog. Wala ring liguan! ;) Anyway. How good is the weed in Cambodia? I read about that pizza. Some person said not to try it, haha. Hmm.. We’re going ‘round Siem Reap lang, I think. Can’t afford to go around too much, we’re going back to Thailand pa to check out Ayutthaya. Nakakainis, this should’ve been a Gutsies trip! Haha.

There’s no happiest pizza in Siem Reap. The better one is in Phnom Penh daw. And I do believe you are better off trying the ah-ping (deep-fried tarantulas), but that’s in Skuon. Medyo malayo nga lang, pero wala naman nun dito sa Pilipinas, unlike weed. The ah-ping was yummy and cheap! Didn’t try the happy pizza, though, so I’m probably not the best person to give an opinion on this. Hahaha. Hay, I miss Cambodia.
